Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 45(b), but using 500 mg of 1-[(2'-t-butoxycarbonylbiphenyl-4-yl)methyl]-2-butyl-4-isobutyrylimidazole-5-carbonitrile [prepared as described in step (a) above] and 25 mg of sodium borohydride in 10 ml of ethanol, 297 mg of the title compound were obtained as a viscous oil.
