Reaction Steps

Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 78(b), but using 1.90 g of (5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3-dioxolen-4-yl)methyl 2-ethyl-4-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-1-{4-[2-(trityltetrazole-5-yl)phenyl]phenyl}methylimidazole-5-carboxylate [prepared as described in step (a) above] and 20 ml of 75% v/v aqueous acetic acid, 1.23 g of the title compound was obtained as a crystalline powder.
