Using similar reaction conditions as described in step-i of example-1, N-(3-(3-iodo-1-tosyl-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-5-yl)phenyl)methanesulfonamide (intermediate 9) (200 mg, 0.352 mmol) was coupled with 1-(3,5-difluorobenzyl)-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole (Intermediate 8) (159 mg, 0.528 mmol) in sodium carbonate (112 mg, 1.05 mmol), PdCl2(dppf) (13 mg, 0.017 mmol) and toluene/ethanol/water (18/12/8 ml) to afford 300 mg of the crude product.
