A solution of 3-(4-bromo-3-(bromomethyl)phenyl)-5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydroisoxazole (36 mg, 0.068 mmol) and NaOAc (6 mg, 0.074 mmol) in AcOH (1 mL) was refluxed for 16 h, cooled to rt and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in EA, washed with H2O, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give 2-bromo-5-(5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl)benzyl acetate (29 mg; yield 85%) as a yellow solid.
