Reaction Steps

Suspend 1-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid 2-(2-amino-6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-purin-9-ylmethoxy)-ethyl ester (0.20 g, 0.49 mmol) in methylene chloride (2 mL) and stir at room temperature. Add trifluoroacetic acid (2 mL) dropwise and continue stirring. The suspension dissolves to give clear solution. Concentrate to dryness under vacuum. Triturate with ethyl acetate several times to isolate a white solid. Yield: 67.7% MS (ES+): 309.2 (M+1) MS (ES−): 307.2 (M−1)
