A mixture of 2-[1-(2-fluoro-2-methyl-propyl)-piperidin-4-yl]-5-(1-methanesulfonyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-pyridin-4-yl)-2,3-dihydro-furo[2,3-c]pyridine (50 mg) and 10% palladium on carbon (15 mg) in methanol (5 mL) is shaken under hydrogen atmosphere (3.5 bar) at room temperature. The catalyst is filtered off and the filtrate is concentrated in vacuo. The residue is triturated with diethyl ether, filtered off, and dried to give the title compound. LC (method 3): tR=0.58 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=440 [M+H]+.
