Reaction Steps

To a solution of EXAMPLE 101C (80 mg) in tetrahydrofuran (2 ml), methanol (1 ml) and water (1 ml) was added LiOH (100 mg). The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The mixture was then acidified with 5% HCl and extracted with ethyl acetate (200 ml). The organic layer was washed with water, brine and dried over Na2SO4. After concentration of the solvent, the residue was dissolved in DMSO/methanol (1:1, 1.5 ml) and purified via reverse phaseHPLC. 1H NMR (500 MHz, dimethyl sulfoxide-d6) δ 12.99 (m, 1H), 8.01 (m, 1H), 7.86 (m, 1H), 7.73 (m, 1H), 7.46 (m, 6H), 7.27 (m, 1H), 6.98 (m, 3H), 6.74 (m, 2H), 5.70 (s, 2H), 4.64 (m, 2H), 4.48 (m, 2H), 3.67 (s, 3H).
