(2S,4S)-5-Biphenyl-4-yl-2-hydroxymethyl-4-[(3H-[1,2,3]triazole-4-carbonyl)-amino]-pentanoic acid (20 mg, 39 μmol, 1.0 eq.) was dissolved in 2-(2-methoxyethoxy)-ethanol, (3 mL) followed by the addition of 4 M of HCl in dioxane (295.0 μL). The mixture was heated and maintained at 60° C. for 4 hours. The mixture was concentrated and purified by preparative HPLC to yield the title compound (13 mg; purity 95%). MS m/z [M+H]+ calc'd for C26H32N4O6, 497.23. found 497.6.
