To a room temperature solution of tert-butyl 3-(N-tert-butyl-4-(2-methyl-1-(4-(4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenoxy)propyl)benzamido)propanoate (60 mg, 0.10 mmol) in dichloromethane (6 mL) was added trifluoroacetic acid (2.0 mL). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated and purification by HPLC gave (+/−)-3-(4-(2-methyl-1-(4-(4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenoxy)propyl)benzamido)propanoic acid (11.4 mg, 24%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD, δ): 8.53 (s, 1H), 7.89 (s, 1H), 7.76 (d, 2H), 7.55 (d, 2H), 7.45 (d, 2H), 6.97 (d, 2H), 5.06 (d, 1H), 3.61-3.58 (m, 2H), 2.62-2.59 (m, 2H), 2.21-2.11 (m, 1H), 1.08 (d, 3H), 0.93 (d, 3H). MS (M+1): 476.4.
