Using an analogous procedure to that described for the synthesis of (6Z,9Z,27Z,30Z)-19-hydroxyhexatriaconta-6,9,27,30-tetraen-18-yl 3-(dimethylamino)propanoate, 6Z,9Z,27Z,30Z)-19-hydroxyhexatriaconta-6,9,27,30-tetraen-18-yl 4-(dimethylamino)butanoate was obtained as a colorless oil (218 mg, 31%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 5.44-5.29 (m, 8H), 4.92-4.81 (m, 1H), 3.71-3.54 (m, 1H), 2.81-2.75 (m, 4H), 2.46-2.34 (m, 1H), 2.28 (s, 3H), 2.27 (s, 3H), 2.09-2.02 (m, 8H), 1.94-1.78 (m, 2H), 1.69-1.20 (m, 36H), 0.93-0.86 (m, 6H).
