Reaction Steps
247.7 g (2.525 mols) of aniline are reacted in 500 ml of sulpholane with 245.3 g (2.50 mols) of 100% strength H2SO4, as described in Example 1. A yield of p-sulphanilic acid of 95.9% is obtained.
