Procedure

Using the procedure of Example 2, ethyl 6-chloro-4-hydroxy-3-quinoline-carboxylate and 2-amino-thiazoline were reacted at reflux for 48 hours and the product was crystallized from acetic acid to obtain N-(4,5-dihydro-thiazol-2-yl)-6-chloro-4-hydroxy-3-quinoline-carboxamide hydrochloride melting at >260° C.
