The titled compound was prepared from 4-bromo-1-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl)indole obtained in Example 22-(1) and benzo[b]furan-5-carbonyl chloride in a manner similar to Example 27 as a colorless powder. APCI-Mass m/Z 488/490 (M+H). 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 3.23 (td, J=9.1, 5.5 Hz, 1H), 3.37-3.47 (m, 3H), 3.61-3.69 (m, 2H), 4.39 (s, 2H), 4.53 (t, J=5.5 Hz, 1H), 5.09 (d, J=5.3 Hz, 1H), 5.15 (d, J=5.0 Hz, 1H), 5.22 (d, J=5.9 Hz, 1H), 5.40 (d, J=9.2 Hz, 1H), 6.87 (d, J=1.4 Hz, 1H), 7.04 (t, J=7.9 Hz, 1H), 7.21 (m, 2H), 7.25 (s, 1H), 7.43 (s, 1H), 7.49 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 1H), 7.60 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 7.93 (d, J=2.1 Hz, 1H).
