A solution of 0.230 g (0.43 mmol) of (rac)-(3-diethylamino-pyrrolidin-1-yl)-[2-(3-hexyl-phenyl)-5-iodo-3-methyl-3H-imidazol-4-yl]-methanone (example 1) in 10 ml of MeOH was treated with 0.091 g (0.1 mmol) of Pd—C (10%) and the reaction mixture was then hydrogenated with H2 (1 bar) at RT for 2 hours. After removal the catalyst by filtration, the solvent was evaporated completely to give 0.17 g (96%) of the title compound as light yellow oil. MS: 411.2 (MH+).
