To a solution of 0.08 g (0.14 mmol) of [3-cyclopropyl-5-(2-methylsulfanyl-pyrimidin-5-yl)-2-(4-trifluoromethoxy-phenyl)-3H-imidazol-4-yl]-(4-pyrrolidin-1-yl-piperidin-1-yl)-methanone (example 88) in 1 ml of EtOH was added a generous spatula of Rainey nickel. The mixture was stirred for 15 minutes after which time the reaction was filtered over Hyflo and concentrated. Purification by flash column chromatography [CH2Cl2/MeOH 8:2] afforded 0.03 g (38%) of the title compound as a colorless amorphous solid. MS: 527.2 (MH+)
