Reaction Steps
A mixture of Methyl 3-(2-chlorohydrazino)-4-methoxybenzoate (from step 1) (0.0042 mol) and N-Boc-4-piperidone (0.0063 mol) in ethanol (20 ml) was stirred for 18 h at room temperature. Reaction was concentrated under vacuum and product was isolated with silica gel column chromatography using 20% ethyl acetate in petroleum ether.
