Reaction Steps

Platinum oxide (10 mg) was added to a solution of (4R*,10aS*)-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3,4,7,8,10a-hexahydro-2H-pyrido[1,2-a]azepin-6-one (146 mg) in methanol (5 mL), and the reaction solution was stirred in a hydrogen stream at room temperature for 25 hours. The reaction solution was filtered through celite, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 140 mg of the title compound.
