Reaction Steps
400 mg (0.8 mmol) of compound A, 3-(4-bromophenyl)-6-(4-chloromethylthiazol-2-yl)-1,9-dimethyl-1,9-dihydropyrido[2,3-b]indol-2-one, are dissolved in 10 ml of DMSO. 160 mg (2.4 mmol) of NaN3 are added. The mixture is heated at 45° C. overnight. The mixture is allowed to return to ambient temperature. The reaction medium is poured into water, and the precipitate is filtered off and washed with water. The product is taken up in ethanol and evaporated to dryness.
