0.14 g (0.32 mmol) of compound from Example 53, 3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,9-dimethyl-6-(4-methyl-2H-pyrazol-3-yl)-1,9-dihydropyrido[2,3-b]indol-2-one is dissolved in 5 ml of pyridine. 0.2 ml (1.6 mmol) of pivaloyl chloride is added. The mixture is stirred at ambient temperature for 2 hours. The reaction medium is poured into water, and extracted with EtOAc. Washing with a saturated NaCl solution, drying over Na2SO4 and then adsorbing onto silica are performed. Purification is carried out by chromatography on a silica column, elution being carried out with a 75/25 EtOAc/cyclohexane mixture and then with pure EtOAc.
