258 mg (0.548 mmol) of compound from Example 9, 3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-6-(2-hydroxymethylthiazol-4-yl)-1,9-dimethyl-1,9-dihydropyrido[2,3-b]indol-2-one are suspended in 10 ml of CHCl3. 177 mg (0.82 mmol) of pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) are added. The mixture is stirred at ambient temperature for 3 hours. The reaction medium is loaded directly onto a silica column and the mixture is purified, elution being carried out with 100% EtOAc.
