Procedure
A solution of 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-c]pyridine-4-carboxylic acid (2-bromo-thiazol-5-ylmethyl)-amide (80 mg, 0.21 mmol) in morpholine (2 mL) was heated at 140° C. for 72 hours in a sealed tube. The mixture was partitioned between EtOAc (20 mL) and saturated aqueous ammonium chloride (20 mL). The organic layer was separated and washed with brine (20 mL), dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated. The crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography eluting with a gradient of 0-10% methanol in dichloromethane. The purification was repeated using the same conditions listed above. The material from the purification was diluted with dichloromethane (1 mL) followed by hexanes (5 mL) and filtered to afford the title compound.
