Following the procedure as described in Example 5, making variations to replace benzyl bromide with 1-iodopentane to react with ethyl 4-methyl-2-(2-oxoimidazolidin-1-yl)thiazole-5-carboxylate, the title compound was obtained in 69% yield: NMR (300 MHZ, CDCl3) δ 4.23 (q, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 4.11-3.87 (m, 2H), 3.64-3.43 (m, 2H), 3.26 (t, J=7.5 Hz, 2H), 2.63 (s, 3H), 1.61-1.18 (m, 9H), 0.74 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 3H); MS (ES+) m/z 326.3 (M+1).
