Reaction Steps
To a solution of ethyl (3-{3-[4-(2-bromo-5-fluorophenoxy)piperidin-1-yl]-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl}-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)acetate (35 mg, 0.071 mmol) in THF (236 μL) and MeOH (118 μL) was added 1N NaOH (142 μL, 0.142 mmol). The mixture was stirred at RT for 10 min. The THF and MeOH were removed by evaporation under diminished pressure and the aqueous layer was washed with Et2O (2×2 mL). The aqueous layer was acidified to pH 1 with 1N HCl and extracted with EtOAc (3×2 mL). The combined organic fractions were dried over Na2SO4 and the solvent was evaporated to afford the title compound.
