Reaction Steps
To a solution of 3-[1-(ethylsulfonyl)-4-piperidinyl]-5-(3-formylphenyl)-1H-indole-7-carboxamide (45 mg, 0.10 mmol) in DMSO (2 mL) was added 2 M dimethylamine in THF (500 μL, 1.0 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 h before addition of sodium triacetoxyborohydride (220 mg, 1.04 mmol). The reaction was then stirred overnight. Compound was purified by Gilson Preparatory HPLC to give 9.0 mg of the title compound (19.2%).
