A mixture of (Z)-3-amino-N-(3-chloro-4-((2-methyl-1-(naphthalen-2-yl)propan-2-yl)amino)phenyl)but-2-enamide and (2.0 g, 4.90 mmol) and triethyl orthoacetate (20 mL) was stirred at 150° C. for 12 h. The mixture was cooled to rt and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by a silica gel column chromatography (PE/EtOAc (V/V)=1:1) to give the title compound as a pale yellow solid (1.59 g, 76%). The compound was characterized by the following spectroscopic data:
