Reaction Steps
2-[(Benzyl-methyl-amino)-methyl]-4-bromo-3-methyl-6-nitro-phenylamine (6 g, 16.5 nmnol) was hydrogenated (Ra Ni, 3 g) in the presence of KOH (0.498N). Reaction mixture filtered and extracted in CHCl3 (200 mL) and washed with water and dried (MgSO4). Solvent evaporated to give a dark oil 4.19 g=99%.
