Reaction Steps
The method of Example 1 was used except that 4-methoxyphenylethyne (740 mg) was dissolved in ethyl acetate and added to Co2(CO)8 in toluene followed by cyclopentene and Me3NO.2H2O. After 48 h reaction time the title product (930 mg, 73%) was isolated as a pale yellow oil.
