Procedure
A solution of 49 mg (0.13 mmol) of the compound of Example 7 in 7 mL of methanol was cooled to 0° C. and treated with 5.0 mg (0.13 mmol) of sodium borohydride. After stirring for 1 hour at 0° C. and 2 hours at room temperature, the mixture was quenched by the addition of 2 mL of water. The mixture was concentrated to remove methanol and the residue was partitioned between 50 mL of ethyl acetate and 50 mL of water. The separated organic layer was washed with brine (1×50 mL), dried (MgSO4), and evaporated to give 22 mg of the title compound as a white solid, mp 197-198° C. Anal. Calcd for C23H19N2O2F: C, 73.78; H, 5.11; N, 7.48. Found: C, 73.41; H, 5.20; N, 7.41.
