Reaction Steps

A solution of tert-butyl 2-(2-(4-cyano-2-methylphenyl)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)ethylcarbamate (6-1) (110 mg, 0.255 mmol) in methanolic hydrochloride solution (2 M, 5 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound 6-2 (100 mg), which was used directly in the next step.
