Reaction Steps

A solution of EXAMPLE 377D (0.450 g) and N-chlorosuccinimide (0.239 g) was stirred together in N,N-dimethylformamide (10 mL) at room temperature. The reaction was stirred for 48 hours, diluted with ethyl acetate (100 mL), washed with water (2×50 mL) and brine (50 mL), dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated. Silica gel chromatography (Reveleris 40 g) eluting with a gradient of 5-30% ethyl acetate/hexanes over 30 minutes (flow=40 ml/min) provided the title compound.
