Procedure

A suspension of (3-allyloxy-5,6-difluoro-2-nitro-phenyl)-(4-bromo-2-fluoro-phenyl)-amine (Intermediate 8, 0.7 g, 1.7 mmol) in ethanol (12 mL) was stirred at 70° C. to obtain a clear solution. To this hot solution, was added a freshly prepared solution of Na2S2O4 (0.9 g, 5.2 mmol) in water (1.9 mL) and stirred the reaction mixture at 90° C. for 1 h. The progress of reaction was monitored by TLC. After completion, the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in ethyl acetate, washed with water, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated to yield 6-allyloxy-N2-(4-bromo-2-fluoro-phenyl)-3,4-difluoro-benzene-1,2-diamine as a yellow solid (630 mg). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 4.55 (2H, d, J=5.6), 5.32-5.36 (2H, m), 5.42 (1H, d), 6.02-6.08 (1H, m), 6.35 (1H, t, J=8.8), 6.60-6.65 (1H, m), 7.06 (1H, d, J=8.4), 7.23 (1H, dd, J=2.0, 10.4).
