Procedure

To a solution of compound 219 (1.46 g, 3.18 mmol) in THF/MeOH (70 mL/7 mL) were added NaBH4 (132 mg, 3.50 mmol) at 0° C. under nitrogen atmosphere. After stirring at 0° C. for 2 hrs, the reaction mixture was quenched with saturated NaHCO4 (50 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate (100 mL×2). The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over anhydrous MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to provide the compound 220 (1.02 g, 2.22 mmol, 70%).
