Palladium tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) (30 mg) is added to a solution of 8-benzyloxy-5-bromo-3-methyl-1H-quinolin-2-one (239 mg) and tributylvinyltin (203 μL) in toluene (7 mL) at room temperature. Use reaction mixture is heated for 2 hours at 100° C., cooled to room temperature, evaporated and the product purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel, eluting with 2% ethyl acetate in dichloromethane.
