Reaction Steps

A solution of 25-1 (840 mg, 1.6 mmol) and CH2Cl2 (10 ml) at ambient temperature was treated with TFA (10 ml). After stirring for 4.0 h, the reaction mixture was concentrated and the residual TFA removed azeotropically with toluene. Trituration of the resulting waxy solid with ether provided 25-2 as a white solid.
