In a manner similar to that of Example 1(e), starting with 125 g (410 mmol) of tert-butyl (3-bromo benzyl)-N-methylcarbamate (prepared in Example 1(b)) and 82 g (510 mmol) of 4-formylbenzene boronic acid, 90 g (67%) of the desired product are obtained.
