The representative procedure (B) was utilized to prepare the title compound from 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-methyl-2-p-tolyloxypropionic acid ethyl ester and toluene-4-sulfonic acid 2-(2-cyclohexyl-5-methyl-oxazol-4-yl)-ethyl ester. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 10.90 (bs, 1H), 7.18 (d, 2H, J=8.4 Hz), 7.05 (d, 2H, J=8.4 Hz), 6.79 and 6.79 (d of Abq, 4H, J=8.0 Hz), 4.15 (t, 2H, J=6.0 Hz), 3.23 and 3.11 (d of Abq, 2H, J=13.8 Hz), 3.02-2.93 (m, 3H), 2.34 (s, 3H), 2.29 (s, 3H), 2.10-2.00 (m, 2H), 1.89-1.80 (m, 2H), 1.77-1.70 (m, 1H), 1.64-1.51 (m, 2H), 1.45-1.19 (m, 3H), 1.38 (s, 3H). IR (KBr) 3450, 1734, 1509, 1228 cm−1. HRMS (ES+) m/z exact mass calcd for C29H36NO5 478.2593, found 478.2613.
