A suspension of Intermediate 3 (0.1 g, 0.43 mmol) and 3-fluoro-4-(trifluoromethyl)aniline (ALFAAESAR, 0.077 g, 0.43 mmol) in ethanol (5 mL) was heated at 50° C. for 1 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum, redissolved in DCM (20 mL) and washed with aq. Na2CO3 (2×15 mL). The organic layer was dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 filtered and concentrated under vacuum to afford a white solid.
