A sealed tube was charged with 101f (200 mg, 0.53 mmol), 101l (250 mg, 0.53 mmol), PdCl2(dppf) (42 mg, 0.05 mmol), K3PO4 (210 mg, 1.0 mmol), and NaOAc (85 mg, 1.0 mmol) in acetonitrile/H2O (8 mL/1 mL). After three cycles of vacuum/argon flush, the mixture was heated at 100° C. in a sealed tube for 4 h. It was then filtered and the filtrate was evaporated in vacuo. The residue was purified on reverse phase Combi-flash eluting with 20:1 DCM/MeOH to afford 101m (135 mg, 40%). LCMS: [M+H]+ 635.
