A mixture of 161c (502 mg, 1.02 mmol), dichloromethane (2 mL), and 4.0 M HCl/dioxane (4 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 5 h. It was then concentrated under reduced pressure to afford crude 161d as a yellow solid (263 mg, 66%), which was used in the next step without further purification. MS: [M+H]+ 392.
