To a solution of N-[3-(1-{[6-(benzyloxy)pyridin-3-yl]methyl}-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-5-methylphenyl]-4-(difluoromethyl)pyrimidin-2-amine (80 mg, 0.16 mmol) in methanol (20 mL) was added palladium hydroxide on carbon (20 wt %, 8 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred at 25° C. under a hydrogen atmosphere (1 atm) for 12 hours. The mixture was then filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by reverse phase HPLC to give the 5-{[4-(3-{[4-(difluoromethyl)pyrimidin-2-yl]amino}-5-methylphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]methyl}pyridin-2(1H)-one. MS ESI calc'd. for C21H19F2N6O [M+H]+ 409. found 409.
