Procedure
To a solution of 3-(5-aminopyrazin-2-yl)propanenitrile (45 mg, 0.304 mmol) in DCM (1519 μL) was added NBS (48.7 mg, 0.273 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 10 min. After quenched with NaHCO3, the reaction mixture was extracted with EtOAc 3 times. The combined organic layer was washed with water and brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. Filtered and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was used in next step reaction without purification. LCMS (m/z): 227/229.1 (MH+), 0.45 min.
