Reaction Steps
N5-Mesityl-4-methoxy-6-methyl-N2,N2-dipropylpyrimidin-2,5-diamine (9.0 mg, 0.025 mmol) was dissolved in iodomethane (2 mL). The solution was heated in a sealed tube for 6 h at 140° C. The solution was cooled and concentrated. Flash chromatography (20% ethyl acetate/hexanes) gave 2.6 mg (29% yield) of the desired compound.
