A solution of ethyl 3-{3,4-difluoro-5-[(2S)-2-oxiranyl]phenyl}propanoate (11.07 g, 43.2 mmol) and (1,1-dimethyl-4-phenylbutyl)amine (7.68 g, 43.4 mmol) in ethanol (50 mL) was heated at 70° C. for 36 h. The reaction was concentrated and purified by column chromatography (0-90% ethyl acetate:hexane) afforded the desired product (14.54 g, 78%). MS (m/z): 434.2 (M+H).
