Reaction Steps

To a solution of [(2S,4R,5R)-5-(5-amino-2,7-dioxo-6H-thiazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-3-yl)-4-(methanesulfonamido)tetrahydrofuran-2-yl]methyl benzoate (compound 33d, crude, 80 mg, 0.54 mmol) in MeOH (5 mL) was added K2CO3 (80 mg, 0.6 mmol). After being stirred at room temperature for 5 hours, the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC to afford 8.0 mg of N-[(2R,3R,5S)-2-(5-amino-2,7-dioxo-6H-thiazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-3-yl)-5-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran-3-yl]methanesulfonamide (Example 33) as a white solid.
