Reaction Steps
Replacing the phenol with a molar equivalent of 3-methoxyphenol, the method of Example 9 was employed to convert 3-diazo-6-benzyloxy-4-chromanone (76 g) to present title product, 5.5 g, m.p. 98-100° C.
