Reaction Steps
In the same manner as in Example 1, 134 parts of hydroquinone and 1.0 part of sodium hydroxide were reacted with 566 parts of propylene oxide at not higher than 5 kg/cm2, at 180°-200° C. for 40 minutes thereby to obtain a hydroquinone-propylene oxide adduct (the average amount of propylene oxide added, n=4) which was a light-yellow viscous liquid.
