Procedure

Using examples given above, N-[1-Ethoxycarbonyl-1-(2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)-methyl]-(4-pyridyl)-alanine and glycine benzyl ester are reacted and the resulting N-[1-Ethoxycarbonyl-1-(2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)-methyl]-(4-pyridyl)-alanyl-glycine benzyl ester treated with hydrogen in the presence of palladium on carbon to give the title compound.
