This compound was prepared in 92% yield from the ester 4g (9.2 g, 40 mmol) by reduction with lithium borohydride in dry DME following the procedure that has been described earlier1,2. TLC Rf 0.81 (eluent MeOH/CHCl3, 7/93). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 1.47 (s, 9H, t-Bu), 1.58-2.18 (m, 4H, CH2CH2CH), 3.15-3.66 (m, 4H, CH2N, CH2OH), 3.73-4.07 (m, 1H, CHN), 4.40-4.80 (br s, 1H, OH).
