Reaction Steps
The Compound 11 (430 mg 1 mmol) was treated with THF (20 ml) and water (10 ml), and further with calcium carbonate (100 mg, 1 mmol), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 24 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered by suction, and the solvent was removed from the filtrate. The residue was washed with acetone to give the desired calcium salt in pale yellow solid (420 mg, yield, 89.6%). m.p., 300° C. or higher.
