A slurry of 3,3-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-1-bromo-2-(1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-2-propene (1.95 g, 0.005 mole) [prepared in Example 15, Step D] and triphenylphosphine (1.3 g, 0.005 mole) in cyclohexane (25 mL) was heated to reflux. The reaction mixture became a clear solution after 30 minutes and a white precipitate appeared after 1 hour. the mixture was heated for an additional 8 hours, cooled to ambient temperature and the solid was collected by filtration and washed with diethyl ether. This white powder was dried in vacuum at 50° C. to give 3.0 g (92%) of the title compound; m.p.=254°-255° C.
